Show type
Mentalism
and psychological manipulation
A show built on psychological manipulation, observation and timing. It looks like mind-reading and telepathy – but it's funnier, and you play along. No supernatural powers, no mysticism for mysticism's sake – just humorous mind games.
You won't believe it –
maybe it is...
Thought-provoking and conversation-starting
The audience asks questions afterwards – not how, but why it worked. Mentalism invites conversation about communication, attention and what we think we know about each other.
Psychology as performing art
Mental manipulation, psychological finesse and audience involvement – wrapped in laughter and wonder. A few props help along the way. The rest happens in the audience's own minds.
Adult audience, adult show
Mentalism works best when guests are old enough to be provoked by it. Children are welcome in the audience, but the show is written for adults.
Sleight of hand for the brain
It feels like real telepathy. It isn't – or I won't reveal whether it is. Psychological manipulation wrapped in laughter, wonder and a few seconds where the audience has to collect themselves.

Frequently asked
questions
Is it real mind-reading?
No. Mentalism is psychology, observation, suggestion, memory technique and showmanship put together so it looks like mind-reading. You play along yourself – and the effect is real enough: the audience is surprised.
What are the technical requirements for the show?
A venue with good lighting and clear sightlines to the stage – min. 1.5m × 3m stage area. PA system brought along as needed. Raised stage agreed as needed based on venue size.
What events is mentalism suitable for?
Mentalism works for events with an adult audience – corporate events, Christmas parties, weddings, birthdays and confirmations. Children are welcome in the audience, but the show is tailored for young adults and adults.
Can mentalism be combined with other show types?
Yes – a popular combination is close-up magic during the reception and mentalism as the evening's stage show. The two show types complement each other well: close-up is personal and intimate, mentalism is the big shared moment.
